1962 & 1992 Reunion Celebrations

The Kalgoorlie City Football Club has had its share of success over the years. Year 2012 celebrates 50 years since the Club won its 7th premiership in 1962 and 20 years since its 11th premiership in 1992.

On the weekend of July 27 – 29 2012, the Club is organizing a reunion for all the 1962 and 1992 participants. Download your printable copy of the invitation here!

Milestone match for Cullen

Brendon Cullen is set to play his 100th League game for the Roo’s this Saturday night in Kambalda.
Bubba made his League debut back in 2002 and is a valuable member of the club both on and off the field.
He has been a member of the leadership group since 2006 and Vice Captain for the 2011 & 2012 seasons.
Let’s get as many supporters out to Kambalda, and back at the clubrooms this Saturday to recognise Bubba’s milestone match!

Horsley set to make AFL Debut

Ex Roo Kyal Horsley has been elevated off the rookie list and is set to make his AFL debut this weekend for the Gold Coast Suns against the Nth Melbourne.

Adrian and Renee Franklyn have welcomed their third addition to the family. Jacob William Franklyn arrived on Wednesday 25th April at 1:07pm weighting 8lb 8oz.
Jacob is a baby brother for Matilda & Emerson.

The annual Jeff “Buddha” Usher Memorial Game was held over the weekend, with Alex Stuart winning the Buddha Usher Memorial Trophy, presented by Jeff’s family.

Remembering a True Kanga

Our Annual Jeff “Buddha” Usher Memorial Game will be held this Saturday21st April against Mines at Sir Richard Moore. Buddha, who was a life member, was a great supporter of the club being #1 Ticket holder for the 1998 season and was volunteer Bar Manager for 15 years.

Get down to the clubrooms this Saturday to support the Roo’s and have a drink for Buddha.

Dylan Clarke thriving on the challenges presented at Subiaco

Subiaco preseason update, 29 February 2012.

After a long 14 week preseason of core fitness work, the squad of around 60 have enjoyed the commencement of interclub and club scratch matches over the past 3 weeks. Steve Armstrong (Colts Coach) still has the arduous task of reducing squad numbers down to approximately 45 so the boy’s are under some pressure to perform.

Speaking with Dylan he is quietly confident and hopes he is selected in the final 45 and becomes a regular member of the colts starting 22 throughout the year.

The squad has another two club scratch matches before the home away season commences on the 17th March with their first game at Medibank Stadium against West Perth.

Dylan sends his regards to all at Kalgoorlie City Football Club and hopes the boys have a successful 2012!

2012 Pre Season Training

Our 2012 pre-season training is progressing really well with the Roos – we are averaging around the 35 mark for attendance at this stage which is great!
Pre-season training takes place every Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at Morrison Oval – from 6:00pm.
