Club stalwart Ryan Holman make his 150th league appearance for the Roos this weekend!
With Kangas pedigree stretching back to when his Dad won a fairest and best in the 70’s, Junior played his first game in the under 14’s in 1991 as a 10 year old. A successful junior career netted 5 flags from 6 Grand Final appearances, 2 best and fairests, a runner up best and fairest and selection in the 16’s Subiaco side.
His first game of colts was when he was 13 years old and he managed to finish his colts career with an upset Grand Final win in 1999, which turned out to be the year he made his league debut.
Early in Junior’s league career he played on the ball, known for his silky skills on both sides of his body and in latter years, has been moved forward due to his accurate shots on goal.
Stints through the years in the reserves have also netted 2 grand finals in 2005 and 2012. A better clubman would not be able to be found, he has served on the committee and put countless unseen hours into the club. His unwavering support over the years to the Roos, both on and off the track has helped push the club back to its level of prominence.
A thoroughly deserved achievement will place Ryan next to his Dad into the never forgotten life members of the club. Congrats Junior!!
