Originally formed as the Hannans Football Club in 1895, the club initially enjoyed some success by winning the 1897 premiership against Boulder City. Following that win, both clubs’ form and stability began to suffer – culminating in the club’s folding at the end of the 1899 season.
Shortly thereafter, the club was re-established in time for the 1900 season under it’s current name: Kalgoorlie City Football Club.
KANGAS: TIMES & TALES OF THE KALGOORLIE CITY FOOTBALL CLUB.
Written by John Terrell in 1998, this book was meticulously researched and developed, resulting in one of the most comprehensive and in-depth historical footy books ever written.
